The heart behind
Wild Juniper Ranch
Wild Juniper Ranch is a family-run ranch rooted in creativity, connection, and hardworking American pioneer heritage. What began as a dream to live closer with nature has grown into a place where photography, gardening, animals, workshops, and seasonal living all come together.
Jill leads the photography and creative direction of the ranch, creating relaxed, natural experiences designed to feel personal and thoughtfully curated. Their daughter, Jayna, is a student at Texas State University studying psychology with hopes of working with children in the future. After several years working in local after school and summer camp programs, she has begun creating her own workshops and classes at the ranch centered around creativity, nature, and hands-on learning for kids.
Their son, Jayden, attends a local private school and brings a big heart and adventurous spirit to ranch life. He loves the animals, exploring outdoors, and being part of the everyday life here.
Ryan keeps everything running behind the scenes from animal care and ranch projects to maintenance and the never ending poop scooping that comes with ranch life.
Together, the Hutchings family is building a place centered around creating, learning, gathering, and sharing a slower, more intentional way of life

ABOUT WILD JUNIPER RANCH

At Wild Juniper Ranch, we believe in the power of hands-on living. We raise animals with care, grow gardens with intention, and craft products that reflect a life close to the earth. But more than anything, we’ve created this ranch to be an experiential destination—a place where others can come to learn, connect, and feel inspired by the beauty of a slower, more intentional way of life.
Our values are simple, but they run deep: Create. Connect. Curate.
We’re here to build, to share, and to gather the best of what this lifestyle has to offer—then open it up for others to enjoy.
Whether you’re here to visit, learn, or just breathe in the quiet, we’re glad you’ve found us.

Wild Juniper Ranch
is rooted in connection—between land, animals, and community
Nestled in the heart of the Hill Country, our ranch is home to not only our family, but angora rabbits, alpacas, chickens, honey bees, and a lovingly tended garden. We raise our animals with care, harvest fiber for handcrafted goods, and grow food without the use of synthetic pesticides. Our entire home runs on rainwater catchment and a well sourced from the Trinity Aquifer, and we prioritize permaculture and natural systems in everything we do. Whether you’re here for a farm product, a photography session, or a peaceful visit, we invite you to create, connect, and curate a life a little more grounded.
