Alpaca Paddock
At Wild Juniper Ranch, our three alpacas are the quiet center of it all. They are soft-footed, gentle, and endlessly curious. Here in their shady paddock beneath the oak and juniper trees, they graze, hum, and watch the world with those soulful eyes. These animals are cared for with intention and respect, and their fleece becomes part of the handmade goods we create and share with our community. Spending time with them is a reminder to slow down, breathe, and connect with the simple beauty of ranch life.
Photography Among the Herd
Step inside the paddock for an authentic ranch photography experience beneath the oaks and junipers. Our alpacas remain free to wander, graze and explore while you photograph, creating opportunities for beautifully candid images with these unique animals naturally woven into the background. Every booking unfolds differently and that unscripted quality is part of what makes photographing here special.
A Natural Experience
Our alpacas are not posed, harnessed or required to interact with your subjects during these bookings. An owner of Wild Juniper Ranch will assist with paddock access and your time in the paddock while the herd is allowed to move and behave naturally. They may wander into perfect frame, investigate your clients or decide to observe from a distance. While proximity and interaction cannot be guaranteed, photographers are welcome to move thoughtfully through the designated photography area to create images around the alpacas. Along the way, your clients will also have the opportunity to learn about alpacas, their personalities and life on the property, making this part photography session, part authentic connection to animals and the surroundings.

Good to Know
​Your booking includes exclusive use of the Alpaca Paddock and surrounding gates and split rail fencing for your booked time along with a Wild Juniper Ranch owner who will assist you during the entirety of your booking. Setup and cleanup must take place within your reserved time. Please allow clients to arrive only during your scheduled time. Our alpacas remain free-moving in their environment and are never posed, harnessed, or required to interact with guests, so proximity and interaction cannot be guaranteed. Children must remain under direct adult supervision at all times. As an outdoor, live animal setting, conditions and animal behavior may vary.
